The Bahrain Society for Voluntary Work was honored to host Her Excellency Sheikha Lamia bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, President of the Al Noor Society, an honorary guest in the first edition of the International Conference on Governance in NGOs, which was held under the chairmanship of Professor Jassim Al Thawadi on December 7-8, 2020, remotely through an application Zoom, under the title "Creating the Leading Institutional Leading Personality", as the idea of this conference was to prepare the leadership personality capable of achieving good internal governance in NGOs, and to control activities and projects in them to ensure that these organizations carry out the duties and tasks assigned to them fully and at high levels of quality, efficiency and professionalism.
Muhannad Al-Fityani, CEO of the Quality Solutions Consulting Company, which organized and managed this conference, stressed the necessity of finding integrated methodologies in the governance of civil organizations that facilitate dealing with and applying them with the aim of improving production and quality control, as well as the importance of producing training manuals and programs to raise the competencies of NGOs to be Able to apply the principles of governance and prepare educational programs to urge NGOs to establish partnerships with national and international institutions or organizations.
